Meet The Team

Aegean Medianet team

AEGEAN MEDIANET brings together the expertise and skills of its three partners, Eleni Rammou, Athina Rikaki and Poly Tranidou being active in key positions of the audiovisual sector for more than 25 years.

Lena Rammou

Managing Director

Rammou is an expert on Audiovisual Sector, MEDIA Consulting and relevant large-scale events organization. She is currently teaching at the Master’s Program of the Cultural Informatics Department of the University of the Aegean. Since 2007, Rammou is the European A/V Programs Consultant of the Thessaloniki Film Festival, while she was the General Coordinator of the Thessaloniki Film Festival Organization from 2010 till 2016. She has cooperated for many years with the Greek Film Center. From 1995 to 2002 she was the Head of Cinema Studies and Communication Arts Department at the Campus Arts and Sciences American College in Athens. Rammou was the publisher of the bimonthly magazine “Kinimatografistis”, published in co-operation with the American Cinematographer magazine. She has studied Film Production (BA Suma Cum Laude, G.P.A. 4) at Hunter College of the City University, New York, USA, and holds a Master’s Degree in Multimedia & Audiovisual Business Administration. Member of EWA and WIFT GR.

Athina Rikaki

International Relations Consultant

Athina is an educator, a producer and a publisher. She has organized numerous cultural and educational events, including RED BALLOON which specialized in making adventure playgrounds, and was funded by the Ford Foundation. In cooperation with the Information Administrative Office and the Hellenic Audiovisual Institute, she organized the international network of TV productions EUROPEAN CHILDREN’S TELEVISION CENTRE, which focused on audiovisual education and was subsidized by the Greek State and the European Commission during its 18 years of function. In 2001, she organized the 3rd WORLD SUMMIT ON MEDIA FOR CHILDREN at Thessaloniki International Fair with 1200 participants from all over the world. From 1989 till 2005, she operated the international children films competition KIDS FOR KIDS, subsidized by the European Program YOUTH EUROMED. From 1997 till 2003, Athina was the CIFEJ President. She is the founder of FEST OF FESTS, the international network of children and youth film festivals, implemented by MICHAEL CACOYANNIS FOUNDATION with the support of the ATTICA NSRF Program.

POLY TRANIDOU

Producer - Project Manager

Poly has an extensive background in film production and marketing dating back longer than 30 years. Since 1988 she has worked in films and advertisements as producer, assistant director, set and costume designer and in more recent years, she has been focusing more on digital marketing and film production. In 1995 she co-founded “x-rated films” where she is still the Vice President and shareholder. She has produced, co-produced and executed hundreds of TV and web commercials as well as TV series of both short and long formats. In 2006 Poly undertook the production of 52 videos with shooting locations all over Greece for Eurovision 2006 in Athens. She has collaborated with the Attica region and the municipality of Athens for the promotion of Athens city and the municipal islands as vacation and city break destinations. She has created a series of mini documentaries for the districts of the entire Peloponnese region. Poly has won more than 50 awards and distinctions for art direction and production in Greek and International Festivals. Member of cfp-e, EWA, WIFT GR and PACT.gr.
